This website is managed by Oregon Hearth Patio and Barbecue Association (OHPBA), an Affiliate of the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association (HPBA) headquartered in Arlington, VA.

We were inspired to create the website during the planning for the Renewable Heating Symposium which was held April 15, 2009. Experts in biomass heating, biomass energy, and air quality met to share technical data and discuss a wide variety of issues related to use of biomass energy for home heating. View a summary of the event, list of speakers and slide show. In the future, we will use this website to promote the next Symposium.

Many people said they wanted a place to access the information that was presented at the Symposium. This site is designed as a resource to wood and pellet stove manufacturers, pellet manufacturers, hearth products retailers, and municipal, state and federal government employees working in air quality and biomass energy.
